Welcome to Ontario’s online course preview!

In this catalogue, students and families get a glimpse into the kinds of teacher-led online courses that are available to high school students in Ontario. To view online courses that may be available in French-language school boards, please visit TFO.

School boards are responsible for making a selection of online courses available and delivering them to students through the English- and French-language public and Catholic school systems. TVO supports this work by collaborating with partners including qualified teachers to develop high-quality, interactive, online course content aligned with the curriculum. Teachers can adapt the content to meet local needs of students.

These online courses are designed to be taught by teachers employed by school boards. Teachers support students throughout the courses with learning assignments, direct instruction, discussion boards with other students, ongoing feedback, assessment and evaluation, and through teacher-student interactions.

This catalogue gives students an idea about what teacher-led online learning looks like. Additional courses may be offered by school boards. Students should connect with their school to see what courses are offered and how to register.
